Detroit Riverfront Conservancy

Exterior Donor Recognition

The Detroit Riverwalk exterior donor recognition program is made with etched stainless steel panels and limestone bases. The Riverwalk is a five mile long park along the Detroit River. We designed the donor recognition elements to be very durable and vandal resistant and to be appealing to local high level donors. We felt it was important to maintain a consistent design theme that included the stainless steel wave shape whenever possible.

In addition to providing donor recognition design services, we provided in-depth recognition planning and consultation services. This includes the creation of a donor recognition policy document that dictates the design, size and location of recognition elements. Donors are willing to “follow the rules” if the rules are written and documented. We also provided a comprehensive donor recognition design standard manual that has helped keep the donor elements consistent as we’ve added to the program for the last 10 years.

Each project starts with a Concept Design Drawing of the donor walls and plaques at no cost. Along with design drawings, we’ll include material samples, provide costs and include a definitive plan for updating and adding new names. We will also provide a detailed schedule and a step-by-step process. All of our donor recognition programs are highly customized, designed to fit your specific requirements and tailored to work within your environment.
